Johor Bahru, 22 September 2015 – In line with its initiative to be committed to nurture a holistic and liveable township, Sunway Property, the Master Community Developer, recently organized the first ever Dinosaur Alive Show and Outdoor Movie By the Lake activity in Sunway Iskandar, Johor.
Drawing a crowd of more than 5,000, the event took place on 19th September at the Nature’s Capital City. The well-received event was participated by members of the public especially kids who were flabbergasted as they got to experience one of a kind activities such as feeding a baby T-Rex, exciting show witnessing a duel between Triceratops and Stegosaurus, zookeepers dance, photography session with the dinosaur with other exciting line-ups including fun games. Many lucky kids were extremely excited to have the privilege to be invited to ride on top of the Triceratops guided by the zookeeper. Later in the evening, attendees were treated to the screening of movie Jurassic World, the first outdoor movie screening in Johor, by the serene Emerald Lake with free snack packs.

“My three kids were having lots of fun during the event and extremely thrilled to touch the baby T-Rex. I am grateful that Sunway Iskandar took the initiative to organise such a pleasant community event, which all my family members truly enjoyed. I will definitely invite my friends and colleagues to join if there is another event organised by Sunway Iskandar in the near future,” shared George Thomas, a lecturer and father of three from a local institution at EduCity.
Many came from as far as Kuala Lumpur and neighbouring country – Singapore to celebrate this unique occasion and spend quality time with their family members. On top of that, MediaCorp Class 95FM DJ Jean Danker, Capital 95.8 DJ Lin Ling Zhi, Love 97.2 DJ Violet Fen Ying and YES933 DJ Chen Ning made special appearance from 5.30pm-7.30pm to meet and greet the community. Attendees showed positive support and interaction when trivia questions were being asked by the DJs. Big smiles can be seen on the kids’ faces when dinosaur electronic lanterns and cute balloon sculptures were distributed.

Since its inception, Sunway Iskandar understands the importance to engage with the community and focuses on the livelihood of its future community by ensuring a liveable township that is well-integrated and sustainable. Sunway Iskandar has been organising various community driven engagements since 2014, like the White Christmas and World Environment Day celebration.
