Two days ago, I was invited to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, to deliver an exciting presentation on Iskandar Malaysia Property Outlook, It’s Economy, High Speed Rail and Rail Transit System. Also, not forgetting to have a Project Highlights for the organiser – UE Sanjia, a China Developer from Sichuan.
Yesterday I was attending the Greenland Malaysia Global Investment Conference Event organised at St.Giles Hotel, The Gardens, Kuala Lumpur. The developer invited their distinguished guest from different industries such as local/international Merchants, finance, media, real estate and etc.
Now they are promoting their Smart City in Johor. In this particular 128 acres integrated development, Helios Cove, they are bringing in school, cultural street, snow theme park, office tower, kids entertainment center and etc.
If you happen to drop by Johor Bahru, should have go and check it out ya.
Early this month, I was invited by GO Communications to go for Sungai Pulai Wellness Resort Ground Breaking Ceremony on Sunday (11.01.2015).
Since the event is not held in KL, they specially arranged us – the invited medias, a bus to travel down Johor Bahru one day earlier.
I would say this is First Of Its Kind Wellness Resort to develop 75 acres of all-encompassing wellness resort next to a Ramsar site. And the developer is Dimensi Panorama, a member of MB Group.
With much said in recent times about the management of Malaysia’s natural resources and eco-diversity, one entity has risen to the occasion to develop one of the country’s gems into a wellness sanctuary. Country Garden and KPRJ plan massive reclamation development for luxury homes near Pendas in southern Johor near Singapore.
Sources said that the project could entail a land area of “a few thousand acres,” which would make it one of Iskandar Malaysia’s single largest projects.
It isn’t clear how much Country Garden is pumping into the project, but going by its size, it would dwarf the Hong Kong-listed firm’s first project in Danga Bay, which only covered an area of 50 acres or 20ha, for which it had paid RM900mil.
The new project is being dubbed Forest City.
Iskandar Malaysia will be a challenging market to maneuver from 2014 onwards.

The brainchild of former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi, Iskandar Malaysia is quickly proving to be a favourite with both Malaysians and foreigners. A current hotspot for buyers and investors, Iskandar Malaysia’s growth potential may see a plateau post-tabling of the Budget 2014.
Some of the new measures that will kick in effectively in January 2014 include an increase in the Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) from 15% in the first two years and 10% between the third and fifth year to 30% for the first three years, 20% in the fourth year and 15% in the fifth year.
